Severely underrated film. The writing is very consistent. I found it to be clever, fun, and better than 98% of the films that have come out in the last 10 years. This is a classic premise that every kid fantasized about while in school back in the day; saving the school from a terrorist threat and being a hero! In my opinion, this film has aged quite well.

This movie is utter trash, like Lively. Plot summary: woman goes for a surf, gets knocked off board by a shark, ends up stranded on a rock. Spends the rest of the film yelling at people on the beach to come save her, making them get into the water which attracts the shark. She then starts yelling for them to “turn around!!!” Once they enter the water and the shark takes an interest. So basically, it’s her screaming for people to come save her, then when they enter the water they become shark food so she yells at them to leave, at which point they end up getting eaten. So she’s actually the reason why everyone in the movie dies. And her yelling voice is grotesque. Waste of time. Don’t trust rotten tomatoes on this one folks.

Super slow paced and an incredibly irritating “squeaky breaks” type sound that is like nails on a chalkboard. It’s a constant part of the score. I don’t know why someone thought it was a good idea to make a score with one of the biggest pet peeves in the world, but they did.

The character of “Monica”, is the most Debbie-downer, sad/depressing, annoying character I’ve ever had to tolerate in such a well-written and well acted series. Every scene she’s in she’s either giving her husband a hard time, and never understanding or supporting him, or she’s sad and depressed about decisions she’s made. She’s so caught up in her own headspace that she can see past herself. Selfish, Toxic slag to say the least.

*one spoiler Everything is fun, and overall it’s a great show. Humorous and engaging. However the character “Quiet”, is utterly detestable. No redeeming quality about her, just spends the whole show being a total jerk to the nice guy. Then she hates on him for wanting to get his car back, after SHE’S the one who got it jacked in the first place. Which only occurs AFTER she lost the only photograph of his past (regardless of finding it again, because that’s what got the car stolen!). Her face the entire show is like she’s constantly smelling a fart. I dunno. I just couldn’t stand her and her disgustingly toxic behaviour to a dude with a good heart. Outside of that, definitely worth a watch.
