I've bought this book from Goodwill a month ago. I have devoured it. It is a well-written story. Thanks a person who donated the book to the goodwill and appreciate Gail Honeyman for bringing out Eleanor's story, which is relatable to many. However, as a Mongolian I wanted to comment on page 133.
In Mongolia yak herders simply live with their livestock by mountainous alpenic areas with rock formation. Ulaanbaatar or Ulan-Bator is the capital city of Mongolia, from where you would perhaps find former yak herders, who are trying to get used to the urban lifestyle but not the actual "yak herder". And I believe the mechanized transports were introduced to Mongolians earlier like in the beginning of the 20th century. I presume today all of the people in Mongolia have certain extent of mechanized transport experience. Our dear Oliphant knows very random facts and is kind of a bookworm but do not know a fact that yak herders do not live in a urban city.
