Hi there Ladies
I have found the listening to the experiences of Andrea and Denise in relation to depression interesting. In my own situation it was too many changes too quickly more than 15 carers between 2014 for what was then a day and a half a week spread across two showers a shopping meal out once a week and a clean once week an the fact that the person that did the bulk of my care in for the first year moved into management and I wasn't informed when the position changed until after it happened. I also have relatives who expected me to consult them when I decided to have carers having been diagnosed with two Ataxia and Cerebral Palsy 7 years before 2013 aged nearly 27. Also my father refused to separate visiting me from running his business and there were times when he turned up unannounced or made a time to come and turn up late not just due heavy traffic, but because he decided to go the local branch of a major supermarket but not Aldi or Lidl on the other side of town, 15 minutes away from my flat. There are about three different ways from where he then lived to where I live. I'm in my early 40s in certain situation having a carer with me becomes a dignity issues. my dad refused to allow that choice so I now have little contact my parent. It took me until work through my feelings over that and it has taken until now to get to point where the situation relating is where there I have few but with reasonable regularity as opposed to lots of carers less frequently.
Interesting to here about Ruth's life. I to attended a number a school partly because of my dad's work, though he wasn't in the forces So Ruth worked HTV. I can still remember watching Helen MacDermott on on the Anglia TV on the Birthday slot the puppet bear was called was called BC (Birthday Club) CITV came after after the programme that came on before was either The Young Doctors Sons and Daughters the timing of the programmes before and after depended om where the news you had programmes like Rainbow Blockbusters, The Waltons and The Sullivans and in the 1988 Home and Away. all of these bar Rainbow are programmes a watched when I stayed with my late nan. You the local and national which in the late 1980s was the opposite way around to now now Corrie and Emmerdale were only on twice a week there and there was no midweek European football and more space for other programming between 7pm and the late news. I have to say that I've never been hugely into Channel 4 and even less Channel 5 as I have found some of their programme too different and as I have am don't like the format for I'm a Celeb and Big Brother post Davina MaCall.
On a lighter note. I like baggy clothes but with full length sleeves and no v necks on tops and blouses. if these have fastening they must be front fastening. For jumpers they must not be polo neck and have long sleeves. Trousers must have full length straight if possible with an elasticated waist and short leg length. PJs must have a long sleeved top and full leg length trousers. For medical reasons I can only wear orthotic boots.
