An excellent start to understanding the position and workings of Christianity in Japan - Many of the offshoots in Japan may be similar in size to some of the fringe Protestant groups in the US, but after reading about the ones presented, it seems that they have looked more deeply at their theology and are more thoughtfully Bible-based than the modern US groups. Although the most recent groups have not been included (due to the time the book was written), Dr. Mullins provides a framework for understanding the structures and emphasis on beliefs of these offshoots. The areas where missionary work in Japan could be improved is also seen.
