No loot drops, no relevant crafting systems. Complete lack of build diversity- run whatever bugged/meta interaction you can get your hands on or suffer from terribly slow, extremely oppressive combat.
Without running meta, or bugged builds all boss fights will 1 shot you over and over- leading to the first three acts on easy feeling insurmountable. Boss fights can take multiple hours until you get the one perfect run where a one shot doesn't reset you and literally pigeon holes you into looking up one of the few builds remaining that has play potential that survived an egregious ocean of nerfs.
The meaningful combat the game wants unfortunately translates to play the one meta build or uninstall.
This is the single worst arpg experience I've ever encountered. Campaign is unnecessarily slow. Complete lack of power fantasy unless you have resorted to running the only functioning meta build for your class.
6 classes/ multiple ascendencies each but none of that matters if you aren't running the new huntress class- which they added a mount this season and only that class is able to use.
Dawn of the hunt released and in a few days time I've experienced no exaggeration hundreds of game crashes - if the game doesn't crash it blue screens where you can't see the game geometry, your character and the enemies become invisible and requires you to force rest.
Most unbalanced slow unrewarding gameplay that you will ever experience in your entire life. As a spiritual successor to path of exile 1 this game takes all good mechanics established from a decade and waters it down where there is absolutely no fun to be had. No dopamine no fun no relevant loot drops, or ways to target craft. This is by far one of the worst arpg experiences of all time.
The devs are extremely egotistical and they keep preaching about the "vision of the game" but they haven't implemented a single thing that improves on the first league or the game as a continuation of the first installment, regardless of an overwhelming negative reception of the people who actually play the game.
This game should have been the greatest arpg of all time and with great neglect and great hubris they have neglected the most important things the game needs to thrive. Would leave zero stars if I could.
