I liked the acting. I hated that this was supposed to be the beginning of Spenser and Hawk. It was so filled with fight scenes that they got boring and made Spenser look really stupid and no one recovers that quickly from being stomped. The Spenser books were light and had fun scenes. This movie had slapstick comedy which just intruded on the plot. The relationship with Arkin was great but the girl friend was horrible. Nothing revolting about the movie. I was just a waste of 90 minutes.

I've really enjoyed the beginning of this series. The characters and the acting are fantastic. Also, I love history so finding out more about this time of history is great.
