This show is the first sign of a return to the western movies era.. a wonderful time for baby boomers in childhood. Our memories are full of great cowboys, fast horses and wide open spaces enhanced by tight human drama (Gunsmoke in particular). We enjoyed tremendous characters and plots where men were men and women were ladies/hard family laborers. Our culture is ready for stories about survival and gritty challenges, children taught to be humble and respectful, and ways of life that disappeared from entertainment after Little House on the Prairie and the Waltons. I am glued to this show. My emotional review is 5 stars minus one star for restraint against the F word and all the reflexive killing.
