Like botw, totk follows the same psttern
4 main “dungeons” which are unique but very short and similar to divine beasts. Also the game is set in the past again which doesnt do justice as there is no real threat in the present unlike oot or tp.
Overworld too big with nothing to do and story is short. Minimal sky islands which are badically all the same. The depths are definatly too big and unrewarding.
I like the abilities and combat although the enemies could be a bit more spontaneous and random. The game is also quite easy for long time fans. You can take time in fights and its not very captivating. I like the ability to explore abywhere at any time but like i said before there needs to be something to do.
From my knowledge, i can deduce the padt is set after spirit tracks in a new hyrule established by the zonai. However, ganondorf is not explained as he should be indefinately dead because in tp he dies for the hero of twilight stabbing him in the chest and in ww he turns to stone after the hero of the wind stabs him in the head. This is confirmed by the triforce of power leaving him. Furthermore there is no further appearances of ganondorf in the fallen timeline as it is only ganon- the mad beast reserected countlessly eventually giving up in botw. The way they present the story of totk’s ganondorf suggests it takes place all the way back to after oot and mm during the hyrulean civil war which cant have happened at all as he is killed in tp later on.
Overall im dissappointed because the “dungeons” are more like divine beasts, the story has already happened, itis basically a botw dlc, ridiculous pricing, no mention if anything traditional like he triforce or ganondorfs origions or time the games past was set. The final boss is also too easy, get a few flurry rushes then you have help then parry some attacks. Then its sit back and glide for what seems like 20 minutes. It just isnt good enough for the price tag or the time it took to produce the game.
