If you’re looking for an accurate historical depiction then look away. This is a movie of contrasts: some costumes and hairstyles look amazing, while others look super cheap and unrealistic. “Du Barry” almost never wears her hair up, she looks like cheap whore, to be honest. Her face has no charm and no beauty. Depp looks and behaves nothing like the French king, in numerous scenes he looks more like a homeless person. On the other hand, the movie is actually shot in Versailles, which is beautiful. That’s where it gets its two stars.

Nice visuals and music. Other than that, nothing makes sense. This should have been a new MC. They made a beloved character return while actively hating her lore and the fanbase that kept the games alive for the past decade. There are plotholes all over, the romance options are a joke and serve no purpose in the story and the alleged "cat content" is a fucking scam (3 scenes). This game is a flop, a well deserved flop. A spit in the face to all the fans of the original LiS and everything that made it so unforgettable.
