I walked out of this film, a rare move for me in over twenty years of avid moviegoing. Despite strong cinematography and a capable cast, the storytelling was weak and hollow. Worse, the movie functioned less as entertainment and more as a propaganda vehicle, demonizing Christian values, glorifying communist ideals, and portraying political violence as acceptable if carried out in service of far left causes. The trailer promised a witty, star studded action comedy, but the reality was a Godless, extremist, broadside assault against traditional American values. Is this what is now the new normal for Hollywood? It was neither clever nor engaging, just heavy handed political messaging wrapped in spectacle. Save your time and money…this one is not worth it.
