Save the hours of your life, don't watch it. Spoiler but you should know this going in - the end of the movie should have "to be continued" written in block capitals. Netflix hasn't ordered any OG3 so there won't be any resolution unless they do.
OG2 has an identity crisis. People expect an action movie, instead its a lesbian "I can change her" romance, without the romance, chemistry or anything else other than to satisfy the sequels new screenwriter IRL.
In more detail - The first film was open in LGBT themes but it didn't drive the story. The sequel the entire side story is about Cherlize Theron trying to talk her former flame now henchwoman into coming back to her in every second scene of the films duration. - At the end of the movie the villain hasn't lost, every other hero character is knocked out and carried away to an unknown location its up to her and her newly reformed girlfriend to walk into the sunset to rescue them together. - Not a joke, that's the end of the movie, a complete cliffhanger when no third film has been ordered, and based on this writing shouldn't be.
I did the research before writing this review. An extra screenwriter was added to the sequel, and their Wiki entry is about their lesbian life, and that every single project they write is about a lesbian character. Not that's a part of their identity, that's every characters entire identity, from prison shows to soap operas. The plot of the story in each of these projects doesn't matter, its all about identity, action film is the last thing on their mind about giving the audience in an action film!
There are plenty of great LGBT action romance films. This isn't one of them. Atomic Blonde did it so much better. Characters actually had personality. Avoid.
