Polyphony needs to fire who ever pushed the absurd cafe menu idea and the idiotic music races. Not only fire them, but make sure they never work in the gaming industry ever again. I see what they were trying to do, they needed more money so they released a game that is identical in gameplay to the previous version (Sport) but added a stupid , out of place, interface and story line. The music angle, in game music, and stupid music game (where you race against a song) is terrible. How could they release such garbage. Do Japanese pple love reading 20 different menus and pressing X, O, Square a hundred times between 15 different screens juat to get to the next races? And you can't just keep pressing O to skip it because on the next screen you need to press Square first , then O, or X. And once you finish a race theres like 5 screens and unskippable garbage like prize screens where you are awarded a croisant or a piece of shit car that you will never use with fanfare and cheering. Before a race there should be ONE button to press to start and when you're finished ONE button press to return to menu. This litany of goddamn screens was already terrible in last 2 versions of GT and is even worse here. I have been playing GT since PS1, I spent 70$ on this game and will likely NOT be spending any more money on Grand Tourismo. They even had to put out a FREE game recently 'My first grand tourismo' to try and get ppl to but GT7 but it just pushes the idiotic MUSIC game some more. I can't see how anyone would play the free game and then say " I should pay 70$ for more of this". If fact, if I played the FREE game first , I would not have paid for the full version. I REITERATE, they must absolutely fire a lot of ppl at Polyphony. They could have paid me 100$ and I would have saved them millions in development costs. Instead of developing a better racing simulator they try and repackage an old boring simulator with insufferable interface and menus. And that dumb music game... What's next? Racing combined with bird watching? Race to uncover better binocuoars and new species of birds? Maybe combine cooking and racing? Can you finish the race before the chef makes his salad, and every time you go off track one ingredient gets dropped and the restaurant clients boo you? Just hire me and I will will fire half the takahashies at Polyphony and put your company on the right path towards sanity and prosperity.
