The writers were handed a golden script and rich story on a silver platter and managed to ruin it with mid acting, dumbed down character development and rushing through the story.
There are too many unnecessary changes, no chemistry or connection between the characters and they washed over the tasteful spirituality and thoughtfulness of the original.
It just felt goofy and cheap compared to the animated series.
The costumes are decent; I guess.
