This show starts out fire and then flickers out past episode four, leaving the audience (and seemingly the characters) completely in the dark. As someone who understands production, this seems like a great concept with good source material that took a hard left turn down a creative maze in post. I can just imagine being one of the actors thrilled to be cast in a project like this… and then half way through, just praying to God the team really knew what they were doing (and deciding not to count my chickens when, somewhere along the way it likely became obvious they didn’t). Too bad, given how many moments of magic it gave us amidst the bulky blur of prolific confusion.
