I couldn't finish it. Both female leads in my opinion were terrible. It's probably the direction they were given because both Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore are great actresses.

I started this movie and gave myself 20 minutes to either love it or leave it. Needless to say I continued watching it and very much enjoyed it. I learned a lot about Jesse James and thought the movie was beautifully shot. If you do watch it give it a fair amount of time to have it really get moving.

I love musicals but just really could not love this movie. Shirley Jones was wonderful but I just found it a bit slow.

According to what I have read this has a bit more fiction in it than the real life story but with that being said I thought this was a great movie with really fine acting. I loved seeing her life when she was very young and when she was very old. And how many people stayed by her side. Great movie.

I love the story of a down and out guy finding a way to come back. Music score was amazing. I've watched it many times because it's a such a feel good movie.
