This movie was legitimately terrible. It wasn't a dark comedy - the humor was on par with that of a middle schooler. It wasn't sci-fi - the interesting implications of the technology are never explored. And it's certainly not satire - satire doesn't club you over the head with a painfully obvious message. Mickey 17 is a dumb movie that thinks it's smart, made for dumb people who think they're smart. It is lowbrow juvenile slop with nonsensical character motivations, constant exposition dumps, unlikable characters, and nothing to say. There was the promise of something great here, but it never materialized. This is 2 stars instead of one solely because of Pattinson's performance. Don't watch this movie. Just watch Parasite and The Lighthouse.

Really fun and beautiful game. I will say that a few of the puzzles were a bit too unintuitive - I love a challenge, but not an illogical leap that the game mechanics don't really suggest would be a possibility. But the overall feel of the game is entrancing, and the immersion is really impressive. You truly feel like you're being pulled into a this diorama world. The story was intriguing, if not completely unpredictable, and I have to say that the female voicework by Bryce Dallas Howard was far superior to the male voicework - he sounded a bit creepy at times, and I kept wondering why this girl was even with him. But I think that ends up making the storyline ring true that much more. I beat this in about 4 hours, definitely not something you'll play for a long time, but I can see revisiting it, even if I know the puzzle solutions, just to be drawn into the game's world again. Definitely recommended.

This show is really bad. The acting is awful, the fake Southern accents are laughably terrible, the character moments are disingenuous, and the directorial choices are frequently inexplicable. The core story is important but the execution is woefully poor.
