‘Kung Pow’ meets ‘The One’. The general concept is pretty great. The cgi was amazing. But that’s about it. The storyline let’s this “masterpiece” down. Hardly deep or heartfelt. Lazy writing and too much exposition. Accessing the multiverse via what looks like Bluetooth headsets and an app? Please. It would have made a great episode of ‘Black mirror’ or something lasting for an hour or so. I found it to be quite repetitive and tiresome, despite ALL that was going on. It showed so much yet said so little. And the ending doused this chaotic dumpster fire down to what might have been nothing but a daydream in a taxation office. I understand multiverse. But I don’t understand the majority of the reviews. Perhaps I’m in a universe where bad movies are considered good? Idk. Never again.

SCARY!! Scary bad that is. Whoever green-lit this production mustn’t have read the script first. The acting was good. My initial perception of the storyline was that it was good. But what the hell happened!?? It got quite confusing. Wasn’t a well thought-out series of events. It was a complete waste of what initially felt like a perfectly good premise for a “horror” film. I’m happy the western film industry has embraced the telling of stories with ethnically and culturally diverse characters - but PLEASE only make films with storylines that actually make sense!!
