Honestly, I was a little disappointed. I felt like the pacing was really off towards the end, and most of the last half of the game felt like it was just on rails; didn’t feel like the choices I made really made much of a difference. The big twist was barely a twist at all; it felt painfully obvious to me from moment one who the bad guy was going to be, and they really didn’t do anything throughout the game to make me think otherwise. I also don’t think we get to see enough of how Alex’s power was a struggle for her. I mean she’s with her brother for like, a couple of hours before she fully figures out how to harness it and manage it, and it just seems weird to me that we’re told much more than we’re shown that her power has been something that has caused a lot of difficulty in the past. The romance option (at least the one I chose) was fairly lackluster, and I felt like they left a big gaping question mark in some of the other relationships Alex has with people in town. Overall, I think the game is enjoyable enough, but I’m not sure I would have said so if I’d had to pay the sticker price for it (I was able to borrow it from a friend.)
