So binge-worthy and absolutely brilliant!! I have a 7 hours of a workday ahead of me, but I couldn’t move away from this series. It truly stopped time and allowed me to escape into this world of contentment and peace. The direction is a masterpiece- the way the focus is on the character’s feelings and internal turmoils illustrated through the several closeups shots, paired with the perfect non-diegetic sounds- indeed mastery. The end was just so satisfying and perfect!! My heart broke when —- happened, but they resolved that so well. With such mystery pieces, it’s always a question of whether they will tell us the one answer we all wonder near the end, the yes or a no. They SHOWED the truth so beautifully, and it fit in the plot so perfectly- you truly feel like you experienced some sense and logic by the end of this. Something that spoke to my innate self. By the end of this show, magic made sense. And don’t get me started on the beautiful portrayal of friendship. Numerous times I just wanted the characters to hug!! They shared such an intimate and delicate relationship that there was no need for physical touch to show the audience what they meant to one another. I mean, besties used telepathy half the time, for god's sake. Ugh, I loved it. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I can’t stop writing. Just everyone sad- go watch it. :’) Ps. It is SO refreshing to watch something stimulating and engaging instead of brain dead drama like the vampire diaries.
