Reading these movie critics and I'm shocked. We need new movie critics. You're all fired. Even you, NY Times. The Aladdin remake was not at all what I was expecting. It was so much more. Will Smith is a genius, we already knew that. He kept true to the genie character while putting his own spin on it. Unlike the original where the other characters were completely drowned out by the genie, the character who played Aladdin was better than the original. The voice was almost identical but I had a way more fun time watching this character. Jasmine was....a good singer, but her solo was the worst thing. They also completely changed her character.
