I have no issue with someone taking a book series and bringing it to a wider audience but I have literally watched only the first episode so far and it kinda seems like those involved with writing this may have only ever read the Cliff notes. There's a screw up in the first two minutes...which doesn't exactly speak well for how well the rest of this will go. (Narrator immediately goes into how the Dragon is supposed to be reborn and they don't know who it will be and from where. That part is accurate up until they just have to throw in that it could be a girl or a boy. They have a serious amount of prophetic writings and even an Aes Sedai having a vision right before dying stating that a boy child would be born in the shadow of the Dragonmount who would be the Dragon Reborn. This vision is what made Moiraine go out from the White Tower to search for him in the first place.-For those who haven't had a chance at the small library that is the book series.) Might seem like a nitpicky thing but this has been one of my favorite series and it seems to me like, with the exception of some really nice landscapes and some fairly solid actors, they have basically just went for a cash grab on this one. Also gotta say it's pretty odd that it has so many reviews stating the same things over and over and giving five stars. Hopefully they are getting paid well to lie to people like that.
