Full disclosure, everyone has different likings of their movie choices and genre. Me ? I liked Hollywood romance and those bookish adaptations, I was a person who seldom watched bollywood movies, let alone ollywood. But wait .....
The Lead Actor (Sabyasachi Sir) is one of our college alum, while watching OMG 2, I saw this poster and I saw Sabyasachi sir's podcast where he spoke about this new title, So this was a second for me watching Odia movie after Daman (and man I never would regret).
Let me tell you, I cried, I wept, none, none of the Hollywood movies have taken me on such a journey, where my expectations didn't only meet, it was far far ahead of what I expected.
The movie was a conjuncture of multiple events, Hell it even gave a message amidst all the chaos "To Not Drink & Drive". It beautifully and seamlessly put together a heart-broken romance plot-line with our Odia traditions and rites. I could write more, but it won't do justice to such a great movie.
I have seen connections between shots in detective movies, etc. But for a romance based movie to have so much connections, I am left dumbfounded.
I have seen romance movies, movies with heartbreaks, they all have that almost-same plot, this ? They stitched so much that it never felt like a normal movie.
People who say that this is average or not good ? I respect your choices and would acknowledge why people don;t produce great content - it is due to our mass market movie demands.
For Odia people, let's do this unique piece the justice it needs, Let's atleast watch it and review it so it can get the attention it should.
Never said this before with great heart, but "I am proud to be Odia".
Hell, I was planning to shift out of Bhubaneswar, but this movie depicted so much of Old Town that I feel I might change my decision.
P. S : Someone below me must have commented that he created an IMDB account to post this comment only, me too buddy, this is my first movie review in IMDB.
This deserves international recognition !
