I have played 100 hours in one week. I am addicted to this game. This is my first extraction shooter and I find it very approachable and Intuitive. Despite the ruthless mechanics, the progression feels steady. The cherry on top is that it looks beautiful. The only problem with this game is slow server response due to the overwhelming player count.

No gyms. No pokemon abilities. Oversimplified move lists. Turn order rework is non-intuative. No breeding or daycare. Reduced dex entries. Pay to use your own internet. Whoever is making these design choices is evil and should be removed from game design. Every installment from this franchise since 2013 has been a kick in the teeth to the fans. Free ROM hacks are better than this oversimplified, soulless garbage because they actually focus on the gameplay experience, not the marketing. The game has numerous fundemental gameplay flaws. I wouldn't even pirate this game because I was there for the golden era of Gamefreak when they made 10/10 masterpieces like pokemon emerald and pokemon diamond and pearl.
