Short book but felt very slow (180 pages) I have a special spot for Dogs in my heart which made me sob during the last few pages because of innocent Beau's near death. Mark isn't the brightest character and lacks basic knowledge which irritated me knowing he's already 12 and had prior knowledge about climbing. He is selfish and brought his Dog to near death, Left his friends and family without notice causing them sleepless nights worry and dreadful anxiety. He didn't even update his friend. I couldn't imagine the stress and weight she had to carry for the sake of Mark. He would be dead miles before he reached the mountains if it wasn't for beau.
