The lack of mouths on faces not in the foreground totally put me off right at the start. I am told this is the result of using the rotoscope method of animation. I noticed too that when the boys were jostling each other they lacked solidity. Like marshmallows, in their billowy white shirts. I was a little surprised when the excellent opening scenes of some streets and laneways were reused shortly after. I tried to find a message in this, but couldn’t. I stopped watching at 6:15 of Ep 1.
