Everyone commenting about how this show delivers an inaccurate representation of a supposedly all white England forget that London was the centre of the world's largest empire, and peoples from all parts of the empire and its colonial edges, including China, India and various African countries were drawn to London for a variety of reasons. If you want to criticise it for being historically inaccurate do so based on the makeup or other trivialities. The ethnic diversity depicted in this show is actually one of its more historically accurate aspects. There have been people with African origins in England since the time of the Roman Empire. Anyone who does not know this is ignorant and probably racist.
