It's an interesting premise but the pacing was off. Really slow in parts that could've been faster, but skipped over other parts that would've been more interesting. None of the characters really had nuance or humanity, it felt like the writer was using them to prove a philosophical point about capitalism. Not to mention all the plot holes, (spoilers) the yacht crew being completely incompetent at their jobs, the crew not stopping the captains drunken pa system takeover for 20 minutes, pirates sinking the yacht without trying to rob it, the resort Island not noticing a ship was attacked right off shore etc. It was hard to be in the moment and get past all the things that never would've happened. Not to mention the ending really was disappointing.
