I love it so much. The chosen is amazing at bringing the bible to life.
But the Rahma story is crazy. I get moulding the characters into what they might have been like. But making up a character and making them the main focus of the story line seems v strange. Is the bible not interesting enough? It really was a let down for me. How do you explain the people, come and watch the chosen it's an adaptation of the bible..... but with some totally fictional main characters ?!?!
I loved the scene as Jesus was arguing with the Pharisees. I could have imagined it and it was good. Why spoil it with total fiction? What an odd decision. And I imagined the writers prayed about it and put lots of thought into it. Was there no one in the room saying it was straying too far from the truth? What a shame.
