Excellent second half. A true survival drama with all its excruciating elements. Prithviraj, Gokul and Jimmy Jean-Louis live the roles. But the "Visual Romance" with Amala Paul takes the first 30 minutes of the film to the 1980s, robbing the movie of a well deserved 5/5 rating. Overall a superbly crafted second half, with power packed performances to back it. Never ever has the desert been captured in all its elements as Aadujeevitham does.

Excellent buildup and denouement. 1950s and 60s black-hostile USA, presented with subtlety, aided by laid back acting and dark tones of filming.
