Honestly, i like it a lot. Im still in the first zone at lvl 64. I enjoy having to figure out where herbs are, having to get up to them with the mount and not being able to lol. Dragon races against other players. Time trials for personal record and achievements. Its got a very nice landscape. Im excited to see what the next zones look like. My friend blew through 60-70 in one day and he said the game is “meh “. Thats the thing though, all the stuff added together is so much fun, even gathering professions, something so boring before, is actually slightly challenging. Dragon riding for me has a learning curve where I constantly find myself not making it 5 more feet to the top of a cliff and coasting back down. But its fun though, because i really wanna know whats up there! They did an amazing job on this expansion. Everyone I've talked to has enjoyed it, except my best friend. But what does he know? Blizz really changed up a lot of stuff and they put a lot of thought into this. For me this was their last chance to not make something mundane and the same as previous expansions. I enjoy it a lot. Its worth it to log in and just see how the leveling experience is different. My advice: enjoy the journey, dont speed through. See you there!
Edit: i just read an article about how people are saying this expansion is “woke”. That there are gay couples in it or something? I haven’t seen that yet and honestly i think thats kind of cool. What i have seen is a dracthyr in a wheelchair. Which i thought was a cool addition for anyone in real life who is wheelchair bound. So why wouldn't they try to be inclusive in other ways? I think thats a really cool unique thing. As a side note, the new call of duty mw2 has a woman with Vitiligo, which i thought was cool for people who have that to be recognized. Maybe im crazy for thinking its cool to have all of this stuff and doesn’t seem like they’re pushing anything on anyone, it just makes the world seem more developed to me.
