Loved the movie! Acting and all was excellent! Dv is a very sensitive topic and I don’t condone ryles actions and behavior at all! BUT I did find lilys way of communicating to Ryle very frustrating..there was so many times she could have explained things to Ryle in order to clear the air ..again not condoning his actions but she should have communicated better to him about everything so maybe he could understand what was going on ..all she would say is stop I love you I love instead of saying this is exactly what my father did to her mother or that he was scaring her but all she would say is stop I love you I love almost every time..I just wish she tried to diffuse the situation more realistically but again he was a complete asshole and violent and abusive! It just felt so frustrating that she wouldn’t explain to him what was going on and chose to lie about meaning less things like the phone number..obviously that was point of the movie that he was abusive but it would of felt more real if she told him the truth and he still did what he did after her trying to be honest and calm him down..she just never said anything except I love you I love you every time…lastly to everyone talking about lilys wardrobe should just shut up like who cares about what she is wearing! All those people are paying attention to the wrong things!
