Very very good psychological horror/thriller! *** Potential Spoilers *** Black Phone 2 really connected with the first movie and answered many questions that I felt were left unanswered. This movie brought about the idea that a serial killer still has power when the victims bodies remain lost and unable to find peace in the after life. This concept clears up any confusion of the phone calls during the first movie as well. Fin was not simply hearing voices due to paranoia, isolation, and psychological tolls of his kidnapping; instead, he was actually communicating with the souls of the missing Grabber victims that had not yet found rest. Additionally, the second movie elaborates on the important relationship between Gwen’s gift, the spirit world, and their mother’s past. This movie may be slightly similar in some aspect to the cult classic Nightmare on Elm Street. However, I actually believe Black Phone 2 has a more well rounded plot that explains the supernatural forces more effectively in comparison. Definitely recommend watching!

The movie was very well done and the storyline was solid throughout. Concepts from the beginning of the movie with the son and the priest were brought through with the scene at the end of the movie. The movie showed gore, storytelling, and humor when it was necessary. Definitely a great one to watch. Cant wait to see the next movies of the trilogy!
