***SPOILERS***
I can't explain to you how much this movie messed with my head. For starters, the script and characters where both really good and really had me thinking of something new every scene, evenif I still guessed that whatever was going to happen wrong. The way we go from seeing this healthy and well-over the situation woman wake up into reality still being the same teenage girl she was, still trapped, mentally and physically damaged was just the first insane and unexpeced plot. Secondly, just seeing how brave these girls are and although they make some (very) questionable decisions, they ARE still teenagers going through a life threating situation so making a full plan wasn't really in play. I do wish we got some more backstory on the kidnappers like, why one of them is physically disabled in many ways (his eyes, lip and his isngular crutch) or why the other cross dressed, wore a wig, etc. Some backround on the aunt would-ve been nice too, like, why does she collect all these weird things? For fun? Some sort of kin? I guess we'll never know. ALSOOO who was the man in the picture? You know, the man who was Beth's husband in her hallucinations, why was there a picture of him in the aunt's basement? Or the "clown-kid" who was Beth's son? Other than this I think it's nice how they include the deceased police officer in Beth's second hallucination, or how she gets to in a way "choose" wether she wants to saty in her own mind, ith her desired life, or wake up AGAIN to help her sister even when her "mom" was trying to get her to saty in a place where she was truly happy, aka, her mind. Overall a really good and insanely strong movie, many psychological factors and some good scares. Some scenes were a bit predictable and I do wish some backstory was added on certain characters but generally really enjoyed the movie. Would 100% recommend.
