I thought it was an okay read, definitely not my usual style but I’d been obsessed with the TikTok series. I’d say the book gave what it promised but I had an issue with the characterisation and character dynamics. For example, the Villain and his sister. As much as she was supposed to be the jaded, you don’t scare me sister, because she literally never felt intimidated or scared by the Villain, it brought down how I viewed him overall. The way none of the characters really acted as if they respected him, even Evie and Becky, made me as a reader also not feel as intimidated or respectful of him. The characters also all felt two dimensional.
