This game is about as average as they come. If it wasn't for it being on gamepass I'd suggest steer clear of it. But any subscriber can at least try it out without really losing out on anything. The graphics aren't bad, but there is nothing new or exciting about any of the game systems. Leveling is a chore and you never seem to grow in power, gear seems to be what makes the game brutal or tolerable. Lockpicking is as simple as holding a button and having the amount of picks required. Stealth is almost nonexistent. No pick pocketing. You also just grab items in the world at your leisure with no repercussions. Combat is about as straightforward as it gets nothing new or exciting. Skill trees are very dull, as are stats. If you really want to try a game set in the Pillars universe I suggest Pillars of Eternity 2: Dreadfire. It's a different game type, but it's done much better.
