(Small Spoilers Ahead) it wasn’t that bad. me and my best friend watched and we did indeed laugh a lot (but more laughs of “this is so stupid”) I didn’t like the first 2 episodes, the pilot’s first scene was WEIRD ASF, and I think it took some time to fully take off but the hate is pretty irrational. Fred is by far the best character, and he had a lot of great one-liners (Like the pizza line and that random his mother watches him pee line, me and my best friend were caught SO off-guard by that…) One complaint I have is that they killed off all the good characters… (Lola, aka the best background character, SHE’S SO PRETTY, Victoria Jones, aka Fred’s mom, AND THE SHERIFF WHO HIT VELMA WITH A CAR!!!) the mystery was kinda jumbled but the finale, especially that final fight scene, was really intense and nice and I wish they had built up to it a bit more I will definitely be watching season 2 whenever it comes out. I think this show wasn’t made for old scooby doo fans (I never watched scooby doo but always aspired to) and DEFINITELY not children, but I believe it was made for older teens/young adults, some of the humor is a little grotesque, but hey, most of us teens are like that. (For the record, I’m a teen.) One last point I’d like to make is, I feel like this would work a little but better as a Heathers Mystery reboot, ESPECIALLY the whole “our parents messed us up” thing. If this show was a Heathers parody, I might have rated it five stars. But alas, it’s not, so my four star rating stands. Overall, it doesn’t suck.
