Very haunting movie about a mother daughter relationship that is so abusive and manipulative. What I loved was they made me feel uncomfortable at the best of times and stayed true to the drama/ thriller genre. Also, you have to actually realize this is all very based in reality. Mothers can and HAVE done these things in reality, which makes it more disturbing. No, It’s not “scary” in a movie sense. It’s sad in a real sense. It’s got a great ending, unexpectedly so I gave 5 stars for that instead of 4. I would have removed a star for the repetitive nature of the daughter’s obstacles. Solid acting and EXCELLENT supporting characters around them. Though maybe someone would have caught on earlier.
