I was an avid Downtown fan and when the series ended I was disappointed. The announcement of the film for my mum as well as myself was greatly awaited. I can only say the film was not worth the wait, a weak storyline that never really got going. Lovely to see the familiar characters again but if the producers had’ve woven in a quick recap of the end of the last series I feel it would have glued the series to the film. Whilst there was a familiar feel, the film lacked a good main storyline and had no inter woven stories within. A definite anticlimactic experience.
