This movie is every bit as bad as the memes say it is.

Just another generic copy/paste high school melodrama trying to check all the latest fad boxes. It isn't an adaptation, it's more like a very loosely inspired reimagining. It doesn't have even an ounce of the originality or charm that made the old episodes and books so memorable and amazing. Feels like a shallow idea that's just using the Goosebumps name to garner attention and excitement, but under the fake latex mask it's just another soulless teen drama reusing long tired aspects of other shows.
