I'm having an enormous amount of fun with this game and I'm generally pretty critical about games.
At launch
I'll admit it could use a patch. But nothing in this game is broken that is unfixable. Mostly, the glitches that I have discovered are some see-through rocks and most notably some of my settings don't save and when I log in I have to reset them. I have to reset my emblem every time. But, it's an emblem so, really, who cares I can enjoy the game fine and wait till that gets patched.
Gameplay
Someone below me mentioned that the character movement was awful and that real-life operators aren't so sloppy. I think this game tries to go great lengths to make you feel like a human and not a superhero who can just zip around and walk up mountains. And honestly, I feel this makes the gameplay a bit tighter. Firefights are more engaging as a result of your player feeling more grounded to human limitations.
In my opinion, it makes the game more immersive.
Level design
The level design is the best it's been. It's definitely an improvement over wildlands and if you're coming from that game it will be welcomed. The weather system is more dynamic, the towns and villages feel less generic, the swamps and jungles are fun to fight in, and there's no shortage of mud to roll around in and get yourself all camo'd up!
Questing
The quests are great and the acting is an improvement. They're still not winning any awards with the voice acting, but it isn't cringy like in Wildlands. They borrowed RPG elements from Assassin's Creed Odyssey. By that I mean you can choose dialogue options and in addition, you can also choose if you'd like to play on guided mode or expiration mode, much like the option they give you in Assassin's Creed.
Graphics
The graphics are also an upgrade. Not a massive upgrade, but enough to call it an upgrade. I'm playing on a PS4 Pro and I'm quite impressed by the draw distances for how detailed the map is.
Co-op
Someone below me mentioned not being able to play co-op with more than one person at a time. That's not true. In fact, I've joined many games where I was the third or fourth person in the squad. When you search for a match, most often you will be put into a game with just one other person. But that doesn't mean that you can't begin matchmaking again with your party of two. They should just add a setting so you can choose how many people you'd like to play with, but otherwise, co-op is not broken.
I would go as far as to say that co-op has even been improved. There are no more AI teammates on the single-player mode.
When I had the AI to help me on Wildlands, I found it much easier to just play how I wanted to play with the AI rather than trying to work with another person. Or, I was strictly playing with my friends. Not the case here. This game forces you to work with other people if you want help. So, in this regard, it's better. This is the goal after all of a co-op game.
Microtransactions
Don't like them? Don't buy them! I'm not going to get into the semantics of whether or not microtransactions are okay. They are there if you want them, and if you don't, avoid them.
Gear and loot
Gear and loot work in this game much like the way it does in The Division. If you have a friend who owns the game they probably already told you that. However, there are clear differences between the games. Division 2 defines itself as much more of a loot shooter, while Breakpoint is more about the adventure and tactical 3p shooting.
