Watched the play - needs to have an older age recommendation. It includes a graphic enactment of someone being beaten by soldiers and also includes descriptions of war with reference to cruel acts perpetrated by soldiers. There was no advisory whatsoever about this content. My son had nightmares afterwards and said he couldn't get thoughts of soldiers laughing whilst ripping pages out of books out of his head. I understand that 6 year olds are exposed to the concepts of war and death in school, but this is done in a carefully managed way. I feel so angry that this content isn't communicated to parents before so an informed decision can be made whether to watch - the title certainly doesn't give any indication. It is parent's decision when and how deeper aspects of war and cruelty are communicated to children.
