Stunning location and beautiful cinematography is constantly overshadowed by appalling scripting, acting and a gloss of cliche that kills every mood. This gorgeously located series is such a disappointment; one of the worst scripts I’ve sat through and some of the most ineffective and wooden acting I’ve seen since the early 2000’s. A (depressed? alcoholic?) detective (who apparently never sleeps, bathes or changes clothes, but is always spectacularly made up with perfect hair and not a scrap of charisma) stumbles along through a series of gruesome murders in a quiet town. Molly wouldn’t hold a job in policing in any jurisdiction in the country - the utter ridiculousness of it actually becomes laughable. The obvious ineptitude of the policing overshadows the fascinating supernatural/macabre element, along with the lack of chemistry between any of the main characters. A great cast, with a terrible script and no real vision. Such a shame.
