The battle between college/university students is good. It is great to showcase academic achievement by young people and to highlight institutions of higher education. However, as is the case on many game shows, the Manning brothers as co-hosts try to be funny and change the focus to themselves. And they are not good at it. Their feeble attempts at amusing bantering distracts from the seriousness that should surround a show that is designed to showcase academic excellence. A host or hosts for this show should be serious and accomplished scholars, not would-be comedians. Also, there is too much emphasis on sports figures. NBC and Capital One should have selected hosts like those currently guest hosting Jeopardy.
