Walter Matheau’s gotcha look at the end of the original is classic. The end of this movie was weak and made no sense. Why would Travolta’s character give up so easy? The back drop of mid 70’s NY made the original a cult classic. Robert Shaw was a controlled psycho while Travolta was out of control. I have seen the original many times, the remake twice.
