"Moana" centers around Moana (voiced by Auli'i Cravalho), the spirited daughter of Chief Tui (voiced by Temuera Morrison) on the island of Motunui. From a young age, Moana feels a deep connection to the ocean and yearns to explore beyond the reef, despite her father's wishes for her to become the island's next leader. When a blight threatens the island's resources and livelihood, Moana sets sail on a quest to find the demigod Maui (voiced by Dwayne Johnson), who stole the heart of Te Fiti, the goddess who creates life. Along the way, Moana faces challenges, discovers her own strengths, and learns about her people's rich history and seafaring heritage.
