As a huge fan of Rush since 1976, this book essentially was a must read! And boy am I glad that I did. Geddy is literally one of the most interesting men in the world. The scope of his work, experiences, hobbies, and family ties make him impressive and interesting. This is a fascinating read fueled by Geddy Lee’s great voice, not the singing voice but the writer’s voice. I didn’t need an audiobook; it felt like somebody was reading it to. Every chapter is full of facts, insight and honesty: rare in our world today. The last part of the book, detailing Neil’s desire for and love of retirement was fun to read. However, it only makes his demise that much more gutt wrenching. Just when Neil was enjoying life and his family like he never had before, he gets the brain tumor and dies. It should make us think. All in all, I don’t think you have to be a Rush fan to enjoy this book, but if you are a Rush fan, you must read it.
