The Substance is a horror body/drama and dark comedy film that it's creatively intense, terrifying, grotesque and mind-blowing. With the premise of wanting a better version of you, the film keeps you on your toes and leaves you with an impending suspense that will make you want to watch it until the end. The performances of both Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley and Dennis Quaid are uniquely impressive and gripping. I recommend this film for those who can endure long bloody scenes.
