I have enough life experience to have watched all the Superman movies, including the classic black-and-white version on TV. Honestly, this latest installment is the worst! It feels like creativity has vanished. Over the years, a rich backstory was developed for Superman’s biological parents, while his adoptive parents were portrayed as genuinely good-hearted salt of the earth individuals, and they destroyed that. Lois Lane, whether she was humorous or serious, had a deep love for Superman. In contrast, this version of Lois makes me want to tell Superman to run away! Overall, Superman himself came off as just mediocre. It’s disappointing to see how they’ve tarnished such an iconic franchise.
