It hits that sweet spot of being able to transport the reader into a usually inaccessible world, by providing an invitation into it with just the right amount of familiarity. One could reimagine their youth (in particular, the smut and desire of their youth) through this with the kind of feminist lens they wish they had in their 20s and early 30s. Would recommend.
