Overhyped and underwhelming. Tediously detailed, obsessively navel gazing. WAY too long...could have been edited into 300 pages.
Reading it I felt like I was caught in the web of the author's meanderings into style and word crafting, with no place to go. I finished it only because I hoped, based on reviews, that it would get better...and because I'm stubborn. The ending was as frustrating as the rest of it...narcisstically "out there".
